Man kills bear with his hands...

October 4, 2008 British Columbia native Jim West was out walking his precious little dogs when they led him directly into the path of the beast. This was a moment that would have sent the majority of men home to change their piss soaked manties. However, Jim is on an entirely different level then the majority of men. He didn’t run, or hide. He didn’t make a poor attempt at playing dead. Hell, he didn’t even wait for the bear to attack before unleashing his manliness.“I turned when I heard a grunt. All I saw was eyes full of hatred … I had no option … So I stuck my foot up and tried to kick her in the face.”It was a bold decision. One in which he might have been thinking twice about while lying on the ground with the mother hovering above him. The animal was relentless as it continually ravaged and mangled its much smaller opponent in Mr. West.After withstanding brutal amounts of punishment, the man pulled himself out of the grasps of the beast, and somehow managed to get to his feet. Inches from sure death, he picked up a stick no thicker than his arm and struck her right between the eyes, breaking his branch in two. With the bear stunned, he took the remaining half he had in his hands and continued hammering on the head of the bear. This repeated motion was reminiscent of the way a cave man would have clubbed his.Not only did this man bring down an angry mother bear. Severely wounded, he navigated through one kilometer of bush to the nearest lodge. It took 60 stitches just to close the major gashes all over his body. Next time your feeling tough let this be a reminder. Until you can bring down a beast 5 times your size with your bare hands, you will never in your wildest dreams be as manly as Jim West. Mardi Gras

ITS MARDI GRAS!! Today millions of people start the tradition of lent. Lent is a long held catholic tradition that shows how people choose to give up one thing for a certain amount of time, to show there devotion to God! Mardi Gras one of the biggest party's on earth is also based off of this sacred tradition, but few people who celebrate it actually know that.

Dumb laws

In todays socitey we as teenagers find alot of the laws put in place to be absoulutly rediculas. Well there are alot worse crimes to be accused of then not wearing your seatbelt or texting well driving. In milwaukee if you are accused of being offensive looking you are not aloud to be walking around durring the daytime. In racine it is illegal to walk outside after dark. In wauwatosa it is illiagle to spit on the side walks. These are just some of the rediculas laws that have been passed over the years. Instead of passing laws that make no sense lets actualy think about things and use common sense.

In todays world are we really sure the medicine they are providing us is actually safe? Sure there's testing that goes on, on both animal and human, but how do we know that that will affect each and everyone of us the same way? Well representitive John Dingell says that we should be worried less about whats in them but more about were they come from. 2001 to 2008 over 40% more of our pharmisoutical's ingrediants are grown over sea's in areas like China, Thiland, and Tibbet. We dont konw when there being grown whether they are tampered with while there grown. What if they could sneak somthing else into our medications for even simple medicine, like tylanol or advil. I beilieve that we should be working more on stoping these overseas shipings and have most of our pharmisoutical's ingrediants grown in the United States, and if we cant do that because of the conditions and wheather patterns here then we should atleast have them be run by our government on forighn soil.
